Life Interrupted: Navigating the Unexpected – Save $12

Life Interrupted: Navigating the UnexpectedLife Interrupted: Navigating the Unexpected
by Priscilla Shirer

Interruptions. They’re aggravating. Sometimes infuriating. They make us want to tell people what we think of them. But how we handle interruptions actually tell us more about ourselves.

The prophet Jonah’s existence was interrupted by a call of God that would require a complete change of life. And it scared him enough to make him run in the opposite direction. Yet, what seemed to him to be an unnecessary and useless interruption was really an opportunity for Jonah to be involved in something the likes of which the Old Testament world had never seen before. This interruption was really a divine intervention and it held more adventure and possibility than he could have ever imagined.

We, like Jonah, tend to run from interruptions. When major pains and minor problems cause a hiccup in our carefully calculated plans and goals we head in the opposite direction. Who knows what we might be missing by running from what could very well be God’s means of steering us towards the most magnificent outcome of our lives. Jonah could tell us a story or two. So could you. And so does popular conference speaker and author Priscilla Shirer in this very personal account of opportunities lost and lessons learned – and the amazing freedom and fulfillment that comes from going with God even when He’s going against your grain.

One in a Million: Journey to Your Promised Land – Save $12

One in a Million: Journey to Your Promised LandOne in a Million: Journey to Your Promised Land by Priscilla Shirer

The Egyptians in Exodus 1 were intent on enslaving the Israelites, wearing them down so that God’s chosen people would become disillusioned and not live up to their destiny. Of the original two million Israelites who received God’s invitation to enter the Promised Land, only two actually entered it!

Similarly, modern day Christians often hear and understand the promises of God each Sunday morning at church but then rarely choose to experience them in everyday life. In One in a Million, Bible teacher Priscilla Shirer invites us to change that pattern for good, living beyond our circumstances and expecting to see God move in miraculous ways day after day. Without a doubt, we can find and follow God’s purpose for our journey. We can make it to the Promised Land!

if you love reading and mainly use your kindle for reading I suggest the new Kindle Paperwhite, I loved my first kindle that was only 79.00 my hubby bought me a kindle fire hD which I also like but it actually does not do the things the cheaper one did as a reader. the first one could put books in collections for instance I could have a collection for kids, one for books I have already read, cookbooks, non fiction etc. the expensive kindle will not do that,. Why should something 3 times as expensive not do what the cheaper ones do?

I wish I could categorize my books too. Esp I wish I could notate which ones I actually bought (since I obviously wanted those more)….I have tons and tons of books so that I will never read them as I've lost track of what i have.
