Many Christians who experience hurt in the church don’t just leave their own churches; they leave the church altogether. Whether they have been wounded by pastors or people in the pews, these believers have had enough and are jumping ship in massive numbers.

Pastor and churchgoer Chris Jackson is honest about his own failings as well as those of the church at large. He identifies with many of the hurts churchgoing Christians have experienced. In Loving God When You Don’t Love the Church, he hopes to provide healing to wounded and disillusioned believers and restore the wonder of a genuine relationship with Jesus and his bride, the church.

Jackson’s humility, compassion, and practical advice for healing and restoration will touch those who have left the church and those who love them.

[Hot Deal] Character Makes a Difference – Save 75%

Character Makes a DifferenceCharacter Makes a Difference by Mike Huckabee

How powerful is integrity? Just ask minister-turned-statesman, Mike Huckabee. As lieutenant governor of Arkansas in 1996, he was publicly cast between the ultimate rock and hard place when his boss, governor Jim Guy Tucker, refused to resign despite his felony convictions in the Whitewater scandal. Holding fast to the tenets of honor and faith, and his concern over what was best for the state’s people, Huckabee led the impeachment charge against his superior before a televised audience. That same day, Tucker resigned, and Huckabee would serve as governor of Arkansas until 2007, winning many national honors along the way.

Character Makes a Difference is Mike Huckabee’s biographical account of how he handled that potentially major constitutional crisis and why he believes character is the key issue in everyone’s life, “in the work you do, the candidates you vote for, the people who look to you for leadership.”

I already have all of Dee Henderson's books and she got me into Christian fiction. The O'Malley series is THE BEST SERIES and I highly recommend you read them in order. This is book 1 but there is a prequel that you can read first or after you've read them all. Fantastic stuff! I felt like O'Malley's were my friends after that series.
