When Miss Charlotte Wilson asks God for a husband, she decides He must want her to pursue Mr. Hamilton Beckett, the catch of the season. The only problem? She’s never actually met Hamilton. Fortunately, one of her oldest and dearest friends, Mr. Henry St. James – who has returned to New York after a two-year absence – does know Hamilton. Much to Henry’s chagrin, Charlotte immediately ropes him into helping her meet Hamilton. However, none of her plans to catch Hamilton’s eye go as she expected, and she is even more confused when her old feelings for Henry begin to resurrect themselves.

In the midst of the mayhem Charlotte always seems to cause, she wonders if the gentleman of her dreams might be an entirely different man than she thought.

This novella is a companion to A Change of Fortune, Jen Turano’s full-length debut novel.

In Pastures of Faith, the third book in the Amish of Lancaster Series, Daniel Lapp is a young Amish man, content with his life farming and not looking toward the future. Rachel Lapp is a distant cousin from Ohio who is sent to live on Daniel’s father’s farm.

Daniel doesn’t know what to make of her strange ways and reserved demeanor. But he does know that he isn’t looking to settle down with anyone. He’d rather be left alone to work in the dairy barn and fields alongside his father.

Yet, when Daniel begins to learn more about Rachel and the reasons why she was sent to Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, he begins to see her in a different light and realizes that there is more to the quiet, stern cousin than meets the eye.

[Hot Deal] The Dig for Kids: Luke Vol. 1

The Dig for Kids: Luke Vol. 1The Dig for Kids: Luke Vol. 1 by Patrick Schwenk

The Dig for Kids is a simple and easy way for parents to study through books of the Bible with their children. The Dig takes the guesswork out of teaching for parents. Each lesson is just one page that contains four main parts:

THE MAP
The Map is the overview of each lesson. It will tell you as a parent and your child what you will be studying.

THE DIG
The Dig is the main passage of the Bible you will be reading. There are typically three or four review questions that will help with discussion and review.

THE TREASURE
The Treasure is the big idea of the passage you have just studied. Simply put, it is what you want your child to remember in one sentence.

THE DISPLAY
Archaeologists go on a dig, find a treasure, and then put it on display for all to see. This is the basic idea behind the Display. It helps your child live out what he or she has just learned.

Early on in The Dig you will meet a character named Doc. He will be your expert and experienced tour guide. Through each Dig, Doc will help guide a child systematically through books of the Bible. The Dig for Kids is a great resource for parents because it makes teaching children the Bible simple, fun, and interactive!
