The people of Christmas Valley always celebrate Christmas to the fullest extent. The mayor plays Santa, every business is holiday themed, and there’s a nativity for the kids each Christmas Eve. This town knows Christmas.

But this year nothing goes according to plan. Shepherd’s Inn is full of strangers, Mad Myrtle is causing problems, and a young couple with a baby due any minute rolls in to the middle of town in their Partridge Family-style bus. It’s hardly the holiday Christmas Valley wanted – but it may be just what they need. This charming novella is sure to become a new Christmas tradition for readers who love a great holiday story.

Hannah Sunderland felt content in her embrace of the Quaker faith

…until her twin brother ran off and joined the army and ended up captured and in jail. Suddenly Hannah’s world turns on end. She longs to bring her brother some measure of comfort in the squalid, frigid prison where he remains. But the Quakers believe they are not to take sides, not to take up arms. Can she sit by and do nothing while he suffers?

Jeremiah Jones has an enormous task before him. Responsibility for a spy ring is now his, and he desperately needs access to the men in prison, whom they are seeking to free. A possible solution is to garner a pass for Hannah. But while she is fine to the eye, she holds only disdain for him–and agreeing would mean disobeying those she loves and abandoning a bedrock of her faith.

With skill and sensitivity, Mitchell tells a story of two unlikely heroes seeking God’s voice, finding the courage to act, and discovering the powerful embrace of love.

Curtis Brighton is the enigma of Delta Advertising. Why is the highest paid, most successful man in the office not getting the promotions that he has earned? Why is his wallet worn out, his briefcase falling apart, and why doesn’t he at least participate in the office “Secret Santa?”

These are questions that plague Lita Cathey. After three years sitting across from him, she knows only his work ethic and strange propensity to disappear from the office in a rush.

As the month counts down, the most unlikely relationship builds until Lita’s heart is so entangled that she has to face her own fears.

Merry Christmas, Lita!

Parents may survive the terrible twos and the first years of school all right, but the teenage years bring entirely new and alien creatures. The secret is in how the parental cards are played.

With his signature wit and common sense psychology, internationally recognized family expert and New York Times bestselling author Dr. Kevin Leman helps parents communicate with the “whatever” generation, establish healthy boundaries and workable guidelines. Bought myself a Kindle Fire for my Christmas present to me. One of two very favorite possessions–my 2005 Sunfire is the other.–Have close to 1600 books, most were free and no I will probably not read them all–The only thing that irks me is that I cannot put them in categories so I can look for them easier. Gutenburg.org has great classic free books among other places for free books. Merry Christmas. America bless God.
