With wedding plans well underway, Lois Barker plots to gracefully get rid of her groom’s catfish collection – stuffed, ceramic, woven. Her husband-to-be, Chris, on the other hand, has decided to get rid of something else: his homestead, which he gives to a needy Mexican family at church. Life is full of possibilities, and the community of Green is tickled pink that their newspaper owner is settling down with one of their own.

However, the beloved small-town journalist is about to be blown away – by tragedy and by the grace that enfolds her in her third year in Green, Louisiana.

With this inspiring collection of 365 Scripture-centered prayers, Scotty Smith helps readers pray the Scriptures through the lens of the gospel, mining the resources of God’s grace and applying them in every season of life. He frees readers to abandon any posing or pretending in favor of an honest, no-spin relationship with a God who claims them as his own.

Each day includes a Scripture reference and an inspirational original prayer, born from both moments of great faith and moments of crisis.

[Hot Deal] The Girlfriends Guidebook: Navigating Female Friendships – Save 77%

The Girlfriends Guidebook: Navigating Female FriendshipsThe Girlfriends Guidebook: Navigating Female Friendships by Marian Jordan

What am I supposed to do when my friend is giving me the silent treatment and I don’t know why? How am I supposed to react when it feels like middle school, and I’m the girl not picked to sit at the lunch table?

While there are ample books for women on dating, career, marriage, and motherhood, less prevalent are thoughtful writings about the everyday handling of female friendships. Inspired by the highs and lows of a backpacking trip across Europe with four gal pals, Marian Jordan’s The Girlfriends Guidebook charts a winning pathway through “jealousy, competition, control, anger, manipulation, and resentment-just to name a few less than cuddly aspects of our personalities.”

Informed by her faith, Marian encourages deeper friendships built on Christlike honesty and love, emphasizing the development of such qualities as loyalty, trustworthiness, compassion, and forgiveness. Jordan also makes it clear that The Girlfriends Guidebook should be read first with one’s self in mind… recognizing that when we are freed from our own emotional baggage we will really be able to enjoy the journey!

Arms of Deliverance: A Story of PromiseArms of Deliverance: A Story of Promise by Tricia N Goyer

Arms of Deliverance is the fourth and final chapter in the thrilling World War II series. Mary and Lee have gone from best friends to competing WWII journalists, but a bombing raid gone wrong puts Mary’s life at risk and sends Lee on a heroic rescue attempt through the fierce teeth of combat. Then, amidst an adventurous struggle for freedom, they uncover the story of the unspeakable Lebensborn atrocity.

With equal doses of adrenaline and poignancy, Tricia Goyer’s storytelling brings well-crafted characters to life in a graphically authentic World War II setting. She places readers not only behind enemy lines into the heat of battle, but also deep into the innermost sanctuary of the human heart.

The order for the World War II Liberator series is as follows:

[Hot Deal] The List – Save 75%

The ListThe List by Marian Jordan

Every girl has her version of “The List,” a handful of goals she wants to achieve (school, travel, career, marriage, children, etc.) by a certain age. But if those dreams don’t come true according to schedule – or they do but don’t meet expectations – what then?

Marian Jordan (author of Wilderness Skills for Women) says there’s a better list to live by, a God-honoring, in-the-moment set of priorities that makes every season of life beautiful however long it may last. The biblical aspirations she prescribes and enthusiastically elaborates on are to Shine, Hope, Pursue Beauty, Seek First, and Dance. If a girl can embrace this list above all else, she may find herself already in the midst of her happily ever after.
